Everyone is convinced that poker isone of the most popular games in the world. So how to play poker, what are the rules of poker, what are the most popular types of poker?
General Poker Rules
Poker is amultiplayer,bettingandunique card gamethat can be played with a minimum of 2 players, a maximum of 10 players and 1 deck of cards. The game direction moves on a clockwise motion (blind bets, speech, dealer, dealer, etc.).
Blind bets are divided into big and small blind. Each hand moves onclockwise motion. The small blind to the right of the player placing the big blind. Blind bets are settled before the game starts. The meaning of the blind is that players with big and small bets on that hand must put in the predetermined amount.
So even if it doesn't go into the hand, these bets are added to the table pot. Small blind is always half the big blind.
Poker Hand Sizes
There are10 diverse types of handsin poker. Each type of card size becomes important. So players with the same type of hand look at their card size.
For example; one player has 7 pairs and the other 2 pairs. Both have pairs, but since 7 is bigger than 2, the player who makes 7 pairs wins.
Let's give another example. For example, both players have a straight flush. The highest card in one hand is valet and the other one is 6. In other words, the first player has a jack, 10,9,8,7 flush and the other has 6.5,4,3,2 flush. This time the valet is greater than 6, so the first player wins.
If the values of both players are equal (It is valid for Royal flush, Straight flush, Flush), this time the cap, spades, diamonds, clubs implementation is activated.
To give an example to the above rule; In the first player get the royal flush cap, in the second player get the royal flush club. The first player will win because the cap is bigger than the club.
However, it is important to remember thatthe side cards are important in the hands of high cards, pairs and cards. For example, the first player's hand is 9-9-8-7-2 and the second player's hand is 9-9-8-7-5. In this case, both players made 9 pairs. However, the second player has a 5-side side card The first player has a 2-side side card. Since the 8 and 7 side cards are the same, the last side cards are checked. In other words, since the 5 side cards in the second player are bigger than the first one, the second player wins the hand.
How to Play Poker?
After understanding the general rules above, let's learnhow to play poker.
Cards are dealt
As you read in the general rules, the blinds are first placed in the pot and the cards are dealt clockwise. The player to the right of the dealer cuts the cards after the deck is dealt. Depending on the type of poker you play, 2 or 5 cards are dealt on clockwise motion.
Starting the game
Once thecards have been dealt, the conversation starts, starting with the player to the left of the player placing the big blind. In order to be involved in the hand, you must put the pot up to the minimum big blind amount. When more is placed, you increase the bet. If you are not going to be involved in the hand, you can withdraw without saying any pot. When it comes to the small blind, the player placing the small blind can see his pot by completing the big pot or withdraw by saying pass (in this case the pot rests on the table) or he can raise the bet by placing a pot on the big blind. If any player has increased the bet, all players will continue until they see this bet or pass.
After the first round, when it is your turn from the second round;
If no one has increased the bet;
You can raise the bet,
After the actions of other players, you can decide to done / continue the game by switching to the player on your left after said Check / Bop.
If there is a raise before you;
You can see the bet. (He can place the pot to the player on your left by placing the pot up to the increased bet.)
You can increase the bet. (You can switch the order to the player on your left by placing more bets in the pot than the increased amount, in which case there will be a round of speaking again from you. Each time the bet is increased, the round of conversation starts from the player to the left of the player raising the bet.)
You might call pass. (You get out of the game.)
You can make Rest / All in. (You can put all the money in front of you in the pot. This is basically a bet raise.)
If everyone says pass until it is your turn;
Because everyone says pass, you're left on the table and you win the game.
Determining the Winner
If at least two players have remained in the game after all rounds have ended and bets have been seen without betting, players open their hands. Hand sizes were mentioned above. Accordingly, the last remaining players open their hands and the winner is determined. This is the basic way of playing poker. However, players can also win by betting their opponents withbets and gestures, and bluffing.
Bluffing Strategy in Poker
You can't talk about a poker without bluffing. Those who believe that poker is a game of chance are unlikely to be successful. If you have only good cards in your hand and you are betting, you will eventually lose. Because an opponent with a better hand will surely come out.The main purpose of poker is to win money.You can make money without ever bluffing.
Amateur poker players are bluffing more than necessary, and unnecessary bluffing will probably give you a quick farewell to the table.
